10 places to travel right now!

It’s spring, and for many of us, spring break. Which means we want to break away! For those who live in colder climates, the weather is finally warming and we want more of it! And for everyone else, spring heralds a time of renewed life, and there’s no better way to say “yes!” to life than with travel.

So in honor of spring, spring breaks, and the cycle of life, here are ten spots to travel to right now! As you travel, remember to be a respectful visitor, following local guidelines and regulations. And don’t miss the opportunity to commemorate your trip with a photoshoot in front of the sensational backdrops you’ll find at these destinations!

Puerto Rico

This Caribbean destination can make for a quick spring escape, and you won’t even need to dig out your passport to sip piña coladas by the beach or stroll the cobblestone streets of old San Juan. Immerse yourself in the tropics with a visit to the nearby El Yunque National Forest. Kids will want to try the longest Zipline in the world while adults can turn up the Puerto Rican heat with salsa lessons. And everyone can stand on the walls of Castillo San Felipe del Morro looking out at the Atlantic Ocean and taste salty adventure on their lips!

Oahu

We think Oahu is a great idea all year, but something about the Waikiki beachfront, the North Shore vibe, and the sounds of hula music make this tropical paradise especially enticing come spring. For families, the Pearl Harbor National Museum is a must, along with early morning macadamia nut pancakes on the East Shore before exploring the lush coastline. Everyone will want to climb Diamondhead, lunch at one of the shrimp trucks, and nap under the beautiful banyan trees. Say aloha to spring in Oahu!

Miami

There’s a reason people flock to Miami for spring break and to let loose. The sizzling beaches and nightlife, bright neon signs and pastel-colored umbrellas, Latin music and flavors...truly the list can go on and on. And this colorful, cultural city isn’t just for your college-aged spring breakers. There is something for everyone, whether couples want to stroll hand-in-hand through Little Havana, girlfriends shop in Coral Gables, or families take in the amazing street murals in the Wynwood Art District or the many outdoor parks. Miami will have everyone smiling.

Cancun

Cancún is one of the reigning queens of spring break destinations. It could be the sun drenched diversions of the Yucatán Peninsula, the sparkling beaches along the Caribbean Sea, or the countless nightclubs of Zona Hotelera. But this area isn’t just one long, festive party (unless you want it to be!). Adventure awaits at nearby Mayan ruins, deep in cenote swimming holes, or even scuba diving through an underwater sculpture museum. And if you just want some peace and quiet, consider a round of golf, a lazy cruise on a catamaran or a fifteen minute boat ride to quiet Isla Mujeres.

Los Cabos

Here you get two towns for the price of one spring vacation, along with Mexican desert beauty and ocean vistas. During the day, stroll the colonial streets of San Jose del Cabo, buying art and souvenirs. Then return to your luxury resort in Cabo San Lucas and spend the night hopping from bar to restaurant to club. For those seeking nonstop rest & relaxation, no one will judge if you spend your entire holiday sipping margaritas from the deck of a sailboat, while families can get away to Wild Canyon Adventure Park for outdoor fun that includes Ziplines and ATVs.

Panama City Beach

Miami may not be for everyone, which is why Florida serves up white sandy beaches, ocean views, and water sports on the curved shores of Panama City Beach. Here neon lights come in the form of a towering ferris wheel and amusement parks along the Gulf of Mexico, perfect for a kid-friendly spring getaway, while the historic waterfront, museums and restaurants attract lowkey couples. And there’s also something for the adventure-seekers with multiple state parks offering everything from hiking to scuba diving.

Dubai

If you want over-the-top luxury and epic landscapes (natural and urban), Dubai is the destination for you. Spring is a perfect time to visit as the weather is perfect whether you're sunbathing along the Persian Gulf or riding jeeps over sand dunes of the Arabian Desert. Only in a city like Dubai can your spring break include both indoor skiing and gardens blooming. Shopping, restaurants, shows are all on the menu here. And for memories to treasure, treat yourself, that special someone, or the family to a hot air balloon ride over a landscape you’ll be daydreaming about the rest of the year.

Hong Kong

In a destination made up of 250 islands but smaller than the state of Rhode Island, you’ll find your spring vacation bursting with sights, flavors, and activities. For nature lovers and kids looking for outdoor exercise and fun, almost half of Hong Kong is made up of national parks filled with surprises, from the macaques of Kam Shan Country Park to the butterflies of Tai Lam to the World War II forts of Tai Tam. Those yearning for urban adventures will find them aplenty in the rooftop bars, world-class restaurants, and epic shops amidst the skyscrapers and dazzling harbor of Hong Kong Island.

San Francisco

The City by the Bay is a city for the senses! Colors abound, from the towers of Golden Gate to dragon gates of Chinatown, from the rainbow flags to the red-headed parrots of Telegraph Hill. Visit world-class museums, explore the many piers of the Embarcadero, see if you can find the buffalo that roam Golden Gate Park, then eat and drink your way through a city which boasts 61 Michelin star restaurants, along with legendary dim sum and Mexican food. Whether you catch a romantic sunset at Lands End or a ferry to Alcatraz Island, S.F. lets you choose your spring colors and adventures.

Sedona

Finally, if relaxation and nature are on your spring break list, this Arizona town offers the perfect getaway. The desert flowers are blooming, the weather is just right, and there are no have-to’s. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery and buzzing with a New Age vibe, Sedona offers you sunrise hikes along with trailheads, afternoon shopping in a vibrant art community, and end-of-day spa treatments. Whatever your age, and whoever you visit with, you’ll want to explore Red Rock State Park, try the natural water slide at Slide Rock State Park, eat bison burgers at iconic Cowboy Club, and wander through colorful Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village (which includes a toy town!).

Happy travels!
